Approach

Psychotherapy is an interpersonal and relational intervention used by trained counselors to aid clients in finding solutions to problems of living.

The goal of the psychotherapy process is to improve the mental health of the individual or to help create a more positive group dynamic or couple relationship.

My approach to therapy is not limited to one theoretical framework and is tailored to the specific concerns of the individual. I take a holistic perspective and am concerned with the long-term well being of the individuals and couples with whom I work. I see therapy as a collaborative effort between my client(s) and me in which we form an alliance to explore the nature of his, her, or their struggles.

Through this therapeutic process and relationship, I help facilitate greater awareness, personal growth, and change in the areas of difficulty where the individual or couple may be blocked from moving forward.
